Dear students, Staffs, Visitors and Stakeholders/customers, on behalf of Institutional Reform Executive, I would like to welcome you to Dambi Dollo University web page. Dambi Dollo University is one the young University that has been established in decade time. It is currently working tirelessly in order to achieve its mission and reach at its vision to be one of the top ten universities in Ethiopia and the known University in Africa.
DaDU has been seriously working hard to empower generation and to solve the problems of the communities that last for a century because of the absence of higher education institutions around. DaDU has been making a great progress by implementing strategic based approach to bring sustainable change in educational quality to produce the young scholars that can contribute a lot in the development of country’s economy.
The office of Institutional Reform is one the units structurally established under the office of President aiming to improve the University’s performance and its influence on stakeholders by advancing interconnected system of units. The Institutional Reform works to collaborate with pertinent stakeholders to complete tasks aligned to the office to meet university’s goals set. The office mainly monitors the appropriate accomplishment various units (workforce), ensures high-quality services, and enhance transparency in service delivery systems. It also evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of work units in their services provision to both internal and external customers.
The office is focusing on laying the groundwork for change programs, including timely implementation, client communication, empowering implementing bodies, implementing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), establishing a monitoring system, promoting Kaizen, organizing the change army, creating a Service Delivery Standard (Citizen Charter), and facilitating change activities. This approach aims to improve the overall organizational performance.
More specifically, the office of Institutional Reform works on:
Implementing institutional reform initiatives and achieving good governance at the universityEnsuring all offices are properly implementing change tools, maintaining strong governance, and providing excellent customer service.Providing training manuals, guidelines, and procedures to help various units effectively apply change tools and good governance practices. Consulting on the actual application of change tools, protocols, and newly intended manuals for every units. Conducting research and suggesting enhanced work unit structure and functioning mechanism/system in conjunction with the relevant bodies.Evaluate the most effective ways to use change tools so that they can be extended to additional work units. Evaluating, and communicating the university-level units on change and good governance actions.
